Wedding and Baby

Last weekend was super fun! I shot a rehearsal dinner on Friday, the wedding on Saturday, and had a baby shoot on Sunday. What a fantastic time. Each family was SO gracious and wonderful to work with. I’ve heard other photogs say this, but it really is an honor to witness such special family moments.

One of the guests at the wedding leaned over to me and said she probably couldn’t handle what I do; she gets really emotional at weddings. I told her that I have often gotten choked up when it comes to the toast. Oh, the wedding toast! So many wonderful and heart-felt (or humorous or awkward) messages are delivered in just those several lines. Thank you to all the families I worked with this weekend…truly beautiful moments indeed.

Until all the photos are loaded, I’ll be blogging at Dark Chocolate Daily.

Derelict on Capitol Hill

Last night, I did a photo shoot in basically a parking lot that tunneled across the freeway. I scouted out the spot a month or so ago and thought it would be cool with the old railway bridge, stone walls, and even a funky stripy wall.

The couple was super fun and willing to model in any derelict corner we could find. Thanks, guys!! The little area reminded me of a lip gloss I got once. Kato, do you remember what it was called? I know it was -something- Kitten…but more importantly it was put out by the Urban Decay line.

So, those photos will be posted in the next couple of days. Check my chocolate blog in the meantime.
