Christmas in Egypt

The felucca ride was a highlight for me. Thanks, Robert, for the idea of going at sunset. This boat, across from us as we docked, seemed to have a lot of people. On ours, we only had Robert, Shirley, the guides, and me. So relaxing (Aswan, Egypt).

The Pyramids and Sphinx were my first sites upon arrival to Egypt. They were incredible.

Since Robert lived in Cairo for a year, he introduced us to several delicious restaurants. This one had sparkly lanterns.

So I stand in line with the other sheep and squeeze through the tiny hallway, only to see that there were three empty platforms inside. Very interesting treasure.

Everyone serves you Hibiscus as a hospitality beverage. Me thinks it tastes a little like soap or flowers. Robert drank mine.

We took a little boat excursion to the island where the Temple of Isis is. This family dined with us on the larger cruise boat throughout the trip. They were awesome and very friendly. They too got sick like we did.

I was really beginning to feel ill during this excursion. It would be the last trip off the boat for two days for me (Kom Ombo, Egypt).

Things started okay with our festive New Year dinner.

Then this seafood dish arrived. That’s a baked potato under all that mystery sauce.

This topped our meal. A guava dessert stuffed with cocoa cereal flakes.
